Cohort Studios is an ambitious new studio that provides next generation development partnerships. Since forming in early 2006, we have assisted and developed a number of titles that have been released, and are currently working on some major franchises that we will hopefully be able to talk about shortly. 

Our first contract was working as outsourcers on Sony's Motorstorm project - a Playstation 3 launch title. We followed this up by, in conjunction with Zoonami, developing a PSN title called Go! Puzzle which is now available in the Playstation Store in Europe and the US (Japan to follow soon!). Inbetween, we carried out some outsource work on a major franchise for a large AAA publisher as well as created an 'advertainment' title named Journeys Through Sound for the Audi TT Remastered website www.ttremastered.com

Our core team has a wealth of experience at all aspects of the game development process from concept to ship, and have worked on AAA projects for the largest publishers out there.

Our philosophy is about partnerships, pulling together the best talent, and fully integrating into the development process. We can work as an extension to the main development team providing all aspects of assistance and support including technical code, tools, game code, art asset creation, concept (game and art), design and production services. We also develop cross platform products directly from the drawing board utilising our Praetorian scenegraph and renderer technologies allied with our gameframework libraries.  Our pipelines are based around the open source Collada file format to allow artists and designers to use a variety of tools.

Working as development partners rather than outsourcers brings a deeper understanding of our clients needs and reduces clients management overheads.

Formed in 2006 By Lol Scragg (CEO), Darran Thomas (CCO) and Bruce McNeish (CTO), Cohort Studios is a developer based in Dundee, Scotland, and currently consists of 25 experienced developers plus support and management staff.
